Lisbon City Center

We will begin our tour in St. Dominic’s Church, where several royal weddings took place, an impressive site with a great historical background. We will then head to Rossio’s Square, one of the central points of the city, where we’ll speak of the earthquake of 1755 and how it completely
altered the architecture of the city. Afterwards, we will be leaving for the Commerce Square, a trading place throughout the centuries, while strolling down the lively Augusta’s Street, with lots of typical Portuguese shops.
Then, we will pay a visit to the Church of St. Roch, where the gilded woodwork and important art pieces await us before we reach the Belvedere of St. Peter of Alcântara, where we are face to
face with the imposing St. George’s Castle.
We will also visit Lisbon’s Cathedral, one of the religious centers of the city and we will be able to enter the Church of Saint Anthony, dedicated to the Portuguese Saint. After this stop, we will glance at the old quarters of Lisbon from the Belvedere of Portas do Sol, while on our way to
the Castle of St. George, which stands perched on top of the highest hill of the city.
We will finish our journey at the most beautiful viewpoint of Lisbon, the Belvedere of Our Lady of Monte, with a panoramic view of 180 º over the city and its center.
