SIGHTS AND ATTRACTIONS:
River Zrmanja is one of the most beautiful rivers in Croatia. It springs in the southern part of Lika, and flows into the Novigrad Sea not far from Obrovac. It is known for its beautiful canyons and the most famous and impressive one is the one between Obrovac and just before river flows into the Novigrad Sea. This canyon is characterized by 200 m high cliffs that rise above the river and protected as natural geomorphological monument.
Jankovića buk is the last waterfall on the river Zrmanja. It can be reached by boat through the Zrmanja canyon and it is a famous picnic and swimming location. The remains of the former mills reveal the once important mill tradition on this waterfall.

The trip begins in Novigrad, a small picturesque town near Zadar, located on the southern coast of the Novigrad Sea. It is located below the remains of an ancient fortress dating to the 13th century. The fort is located on a hill above the town and offers a beautiful panorama of the Novigrad Sea and the magnificent mountain Velebit. The boarding starts at 9:30 and then follows a boat ride through the Novigrad Sea. The Novigrad Sea is a sea bay where Zrmanja river flows in. After entering the canyon of this beautiful emerald green river, you will drive a 12-kilometer route to the town of Obrovac. All the way you will be surrounded by 200 m high cliffs, so you will be able to enjoy the unique views of this karst landscape but also see the remains of some historical fortifications. After passing through Obrovac you will reach our final destination, the last waterfall on the river Zrmanja, Jankovića buk, where you will have a break for swimming at the waterfall.
Refresh yourself by swimming in the river and after that you will sail back through the canyon and the Novigrad Sea where you will have again a swimming break in a small bay. Then you will continue the boat ride to Novigrad where this tour ends.
