Akrotiri - Beaches, History and Gastronomy - Private Tour

Early in the morning they will pick us up at our accommodation or the closest point, to head towards the Akrotiri peninsula where we will visit the beautiful monastery of "Aghia Triada ". This monastery was built in the seventeenth century and draws attention deeply for its Byzantine style, gardens and museum of iconography and religious codices. The monastery is still active as the monks take care, with care and dedication, of the elaboration and production of one of the best wines and olive oils in the region, which of course we will have the opportunity to taste in the ancient catacombs .
After the visit we will continue our journey through fields and local crops until we reach Stavros beach where the famous movie “ Zorba the Greek ” was filmed . A white sand beach, sheltered from the wind and with hammocks and umbrellas. Here we will enjoy free time to bathe, rest and taste the delicacies of the sea that this fishing village has to offer.
Almost at the end of the day and returning to Chaniá, our accompanying guide will choose a coastal route to explore and make the return an unforgettable experience.
