Description
During this activity, you will most likely have the opportunity to see several marine species, such as dolphins, whales, birds and turtles. After three hours at sea we stop at Vila Franca do Campo, the former capital of the island of São Miguel to have lunch at a local restaurant. Then, already aboard a traditional fishing boat converted to transport people we set off towards the islet for the second stage of the day. The islet contains a great diversity of plant and fish species. They are all well preserved, much due to the classification as a natural reserve of the islet. You can snorkel inside the islet. Do not forget to bring your snorkel gear! The place is only visitable in the summer season, more concretely between June and September. The return to our activity center in Ponta Delgada (marina) can be done by boat or van.
