Danube Bend – an excursion into Hungary's history

Enjoy an excursion into Hungarian history along the Danube Bend. You’ll visit Esztergom and charming Szentendre, and make a short visit to Slovakia.

Your full-day journey into Hungarian history begins !

Head out in the comfort of an air-conditioned coach, and start off by enjoying the remarkable city of Esztergom and the largest Catholic church in the country.
You’ll have time to enjoy a delicious 3-course before continue on to the magical artist’s village of Szentendre, where your guide will take you on a tour.
During the course of the day, you’ll have the opportunity to see Esztergom from another perspective during a photo stop in Slovakia.

At the end of the tour you’ll return to Budapest by boat, in the summer months, and by coach from October to April.


Danube Bend Tour

09:00 AM - Tour starts from Hotel Intercontinental

11:00 AM – Esztergom-Cathedral interior visit and photostop at the Slovakian border

12:30 PM – Visegrád-Lunch

15:00 PM – Szentendre

17:00 PM – Boat or Bus trip to Budapest

18:00 PM – Tour ends at Vigadó Square /or Hotel Intercontinental, Budapest (City Center)

• Return by boat between 1 May – 27 October

• In case of low water and during winter time return to Budapest by bus

• The duration of the tour is only approximate and the actual time depends on the traffic situation
