Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria is one of the most ancient cities in Europe, which Constantine the Great once called “My Rome”. More than 250 historical, archaeological and architectural landmarks, 38 museums, 11 theatres, opera, operetta, etc. Our tour will start with a visit of the National Museum of History, located in the suburbs of Sofia. We will continue further to Boyana Church UNESCO site. At noon, we will come back to Sofia with some free time for lunch and will continue with a walking tour of the downtown area - Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, St. Sofia basilica (6th c), Parliament Square, National Theatre, City Garden, Roman Walls, St. George Rotunda (4th c), Largo Area with the Presidency, the Council of Ministers and the former headquarters of the Bulgarian Communist Party .
