Located in the central part of the island of São Miguel, the Fire Lake is located in the Serra de Agua de Pau, known for the lagoon of blue and crystalline water, it is perhaps the most emblematic lagoon and at the same time the most beautiful lake on the island of São Miguel. Due to its location and altitude, it makes of its waters, very clean and crystalline waters, providing us with an enviable blue, which contrasts with the green tones of its surrounding vegetation and is guarded by hundreds of seagulls. For lovers of photography we have several stops, where we can see the lagoon from different angles.

After we pick you up at your hotel / lodge or meeting point we head towards to Lagoa, where we will take a guided tour in the Ceramic factory Vieira, where you will know the whole process of the clay and the different ways in which the pieces are produced, as well as painting in this secular factory, being an icon in the social and cultural life of the island of São Miguel.

We will continue to Pico da Barrosa, located in the central part of the island of São Miguel, being the second highest point of our island, there we will make some stops in different viewpoints, in this way, you will have the opportunity to have differents and panoramic views of the lagoon was well views to the south and north coast of São Miguel, then we descend carefully to other viewpoint to see the Lake, where it gives us a different perspective of the mythical Lagoon of blue and crystalline waters, for many being the most beautiful of our island.

When descending to the north coast of the island and being your option, we can explore the Natural Park of the old Caldeira or the waterfall of Salto do Cabrito before we reach the center of the city of Ribeira Grande, second largest city of the island of São Miguel, with emphasis on the historical center and garden of the city, where you will be invited to a traditional liquor tasting.

Then we will take you to another viewpoint where you will have a beautiful and breathtaking view of the sea and the north coast of São Miguel and the opportunity to be in contact with the black sand, in one of the beaches most frequented by the bathers and surfers of our island.

The end of our tour will be with your delivery at your hotel / accommodation.
