Explore the highlights of the Island on a Full Day Tour combining Sea & land. The best and most exciting way to explore the beautiful central part of the island is going off road! This unforgettable half day tour drives through beautiful lakes, water streams, and combines uneven green valley’s, with hidden waterfalls, and unspoiled Nature. This tour takes you to one of the “Seven Portuguese Natural Wonders” - FOGO LAKE, a beautiful quiet lake surrounded by an amazing landscape also to a relatively unknown beautiful treasure – São Brás Lake. On the halfway between one of the highlights of the central part of the Island we will find – Caldeira Velha – a Regional Natural Monument (Entrances not included). Of course, the only tea plantations in Europe are not forgotten and you are invited to taste four different kinds of tea at Gorreana Tea Factory – A working live Museum. After the Land tour, a picnic will be served for lunch. In the afternoon on Whale & Dolphin Watching activity, you will have the opportunity to watch some of more than 25 cetacean species that can be found in the Azores. Although nature offers no guarantees, whales and dolphins are regularly seen during our half day tours, along with turtles, seabirds and other marine life. Before the boat trip a briefing will take place to explain which cetacean species can be observed, safety measures aboard, how we respect the animals and rules of observation at sea as well as some historical facts. During the tour each passenger is required to wear a life vest (except on our catamaran).
