Furnas - Half Day

On this half day tour, visit Furnas, plantations and tea plantations, as well as a large part of the north and south coast of the island of São Miguel, where we select some stops where you can enjoy magnificent views of the sea and the island of São Miguel

As Furnas is a small parish rich in volcanic activity, where we can see several fumaroles, several hot springs and minerals, and not forget the sulfur that can be smelled in some areas of Furnas. It is near the Furnas lagoon that dishes are made from typical Azorean cuisine in a volcanic soil at high Temperatures.
Visit and Explore Furnas with us on this half day tour in which we pick you up from your hotel/Accommodation, in a circular itinerary you will know a great part of the island of Sao Miguel.
We will drive to the Furnas along the north coast of the island, where we will make our first stop at the Sta Iria Viewpoint, where we will see a large part of the north coast of the island of São Miguel, where you can enjoy the contrast of the green of the pastures and the blue of the sea that is in front of it.

Then, we will go to one of the factories and Tea Plantations in São Miguel, where we will accompany you or your group on a guided tour of the planting and factory facilities and you can taste one of the tea produced in the factory.

We will have a mandatory stop before we get to Furnas, because in the viewpoint of Pico do Ferro can dazzle with a panoramic scenery, a unique view of the lagoon and the town of Furnas, as well as the entire surrounding area.

After descending to the Furnas it is time to explore and get to know the famous fumaroles and springs of hot and hot springs, and let yourself be carried away by the intense aroma of sulfur that hangs over the place in which we will visit.

After having explored and known a little of the Furnas, we go to another town with the name Vila Franca do Campo, where we will make some stops in places of high tourist interest, such as the top of the Hermitage of Our Lady of Peace and viewpoint of the island.

Continuing along the South coast we will go towards Ponta Delgada where our Tour ends, leaving you in your Hotel/Accommodation or other place.
